Life-Size Packaging Spotlights Everyday Products

July 28, 2015

Toothbrushes. Mayonnaise. Dog food. These represent a few everyday commodities that, quite frankly, can bore us. How do you get people to not only notice these dime-a-dozen products but actually get excited about them? Packaging!

This was what Croatian packaging company Imago-Box set out to prove when they created life-size packaging for everyday items. By packaging for things like streetlights, garbage cans, bike racks and park benches, they made people stop and pay attention.

This cool packaging turned otherwise mundane objects into Instagram-ready moments of excitement. People couldn’t wait to pose next to them, use them and — in the case of the romantic park bench — smooch their loved one near the packaging.

If great packaging can make people care about a streetlight, it can make people stop in a grocery story and pay attention to your product. We wrote about this last year with retail branding expert Greg Feinberg.

People are bombarded every day with nonstop ads and products. If businesses are boring and predictable, they’ll never break through that noise. Packaging that is surprising, exciting and clear is what it will take to get people to stop and pay attention to your brand.

Your packaging should be anything but ordinary. Contact us today to talk about packaging that will get you noticed!
